Training event & Intercomparison test for field measurements coming up in Oct 9th 2024, register today!

Our project partner SYKE is designated by the Ministry of the Environment of Finland as the national reference laboratory in the environmental field, whose main tasks include the organisation of proficiency tests. Their experience in organising comparisons has been accumulated since the 1960s.

What is a proficiency test?

Interlaboratory comparison and proficiency testing comprises a comparison, based on the evaluation of measurements of the same or similar items by two or more laboratories. It is a tool for laboratories to improve their operations, train the staff and get an external quality assessment of their performance.

Training event Field measurements in monitoring the status of water bodies is on October 9th 2024 at 12.15 pm-15.30. Please note, that this event is in Finnish, the program can be downloaded below. Registration is open until 18th September at SYKE training calendar.You can also find more information and the detailed program there. This training can be acknowledged as 0,5 day professional skills training.

Intercomparison test for field measurements is at 9.30. is at 9.30-11.30 on the same day at Taavi Bridge, 28100 Pori, for field measurements of oxygen, temperature, pH, turbidity, and electrical conductivity.

The registration for this intercomparison test is open until tomorrow 13 September 2024.

The participation fee is 375 € (+ VAT) when reporting the results of one device. If the participant wants to test several measuring devices of the represented entity, the cost from extra measuring device is 225 € /device (+ VAT).
